Tell us what you work with and the tasks you have?
I work as Group Leader for Construction Control at DEKRA's office in Solna. We are a group of 6 people who work with checking manufacturing documents against requirements from, for example, work environment regulations. In addition to construction control, I also carry out manufacturing control and supervision of the manufacturer's quality system both against PED and ASME.

What is the most enjoyable part of your work?
The most enjoyable part of my work is the variety in products, tasks and customers. That, together with a great technology focus, makes the work fun and stimulating. That our work is of great benefit to the customers is evident when the customers are satisfied.

Tell us what you work with and the tasks you have?
I work with inspecting pressure vessels (compressed air tanks, steam boilers, cisterns, process vessels, etc.). This means that I go around to many different customers, everything from small one-man companies to large process industries. The work is very free and I plan and lay out my days myself most of the time. Then there will be a bit of administrative work with e.g. write reports and minutes.

What is the most enjoyable part of your work?
The funnest thing is that it is so varied, no two days are the same and you meet nice people and carry out many different kinds of inspections. You also have great opportunities to influence yourself if you want to focus on something special or attend an education you are interested in. My colleagues are the best in the world too.

Why did you choose to apply to DEKRA?
It seemed like fun and stimulating work and I felt I had a useful background (I have previously worked in the nuclear industry). What attracted me the most was that it seemed to be such a varied job, which turned out to be true. In addition, DEKRA seemed to be a nice company with good employees and with good development opportunities.

I work as a section manager in the lifting department in Stockholm, I have very varied tasks ranging from writing quotations for customers to inspecting roller coasters at amusement parks.

The absolute best thing about DEKRA is all my wonderful colleagues and that every day is truly unique. I have never experienced the family atmosphere we have at DEKRA anywhere else.

Why did you choose to apply to DEKRA?
Since I'm basically a civil engineer, it's easy to get stuck in a traditional desk job, which I wasn't interested in, so I applied to ÅF (which later became DEKRA) precisely to be able to vary theory with practice.
